Mission Mutt Dog Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)(3) foster-based nonprofit with rescue and foster networks in Orlando and Tallahassee, Florida, and Houston, Texas. We save dogs from strays, shelter transfers, and owner surrenders — often pulling from euthanasia lists — and place them in loving foster homes while they wait for adoption. Our rescue efforts span Florida, Texas, St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands), Puerto Rico, Kentucky, and Georgia, and we proudly offer out-of-state adoptions. We are always seeking foster families in Orlando, Tallahassee, and Houston to help us save more lives.

Mission Mutt Dog Rescue, a foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is dedicated to rescuing abused, neglected, and abandoned dogs. Our primary goal is to offer them a chance at a new life in loving forever homes, one adoption at a time.
Mission Mutt Dog Rescue was founded by Madison Kossow in 2023. With a deep passion for animal welfare, Madison wanted to formulate a foster-based rescue so that each dog feels loved throughout their time in the rescue until their new family is found.

I’m incredibly honored to share that I was featured in the AWI Quarterly Winter 2025 edition in an article titled “Madison’s Mission: No Mutt Left Behind.” The piece highlights my journey, Madison Kossow, and the founding of Mission Mutt Dog Rescue, a foster-based nonprofit dedicated to saving dogs impacted by abuse, neglect, abandonment, and the pet overpopulation crisis.
Mission Mutt was built on the belief that every dog deserves a chance—especially those who are most often overlooked. What started as a small idea has grown into a rescue saving lives across the country, made possible entirely by fosters, volunteers, adopters, and supporters who stand behind this mission.

At Mission Mutt Dog Rescue, every adoption is a celebration — and we’re thrilled to share that we’ve found loving homes for our rescue dogs! Each one of these pups started with a story of hope, and thanks to our amazing community, they now have families to call their own. We are so proud to have found homes for all these dogs since we opened in 2024!
